EDIT: Now I'll just leave my to-be-rated Siggy here, as I'm about to change my signature again; and people just love to see funny cats. 3
Forum Suggestions / Re: Should We move to Proboards?« on: October 18, 2012, 07:53:57 pm »With the forum here at least somewhat fixed, I feel I can adapt here. But I still like proboards; for these reasons:
1) Certainly easier to maintain. 2) Board moving will be no problem, I'll copy and paste. Staff will remain the same of course, and be ranked accordingly. 3) By moving, we will be able to weed out the inactive members; because obviously... Only the active ones will know we moved. 4) I'm also much more familiar with running Proboards, so I can assure a better quality forum. 5) While we're talking about all this, I'll go ahead and say I believe it was that same hacker who hacked into Nowe's account that caused this problem. Through proboards, I am aware of a good couple of ways to barrier against hackers. Obviously, never full-proof... But at least it'll be easier to handle if someone does hack. Nowe, if we do move; just make the site, then link me to it. I'll get everything set up properly so you can focus on the game itself. Once all the important boards are moved; I'll post a link here. 4
Forum Suggestions / Re: Should We move to Proboards?« on: October 17, 2012, 07:09:16 pm »I say yes, move to proboards. Mostly because this forum is really getting on my nerves; and it takes a lot to do that. As you can see, this recent mess up on the site... It wouldn't have happened on proboards, and I'm much more familiar with running a proboards site. But of course... The decision lies with the members. Proboards or remain here...

Forum Suggestions / Re: So about the side things.« on: October 16, 2012, 04:51:37 pm »To be honest, I agree. I panicked when I first came on today to see this, thinking my internet was messing up. I suppose Nowe is just playing around with an attractive new layout.

Etc. / Re: Sebastian goes to AWA« on: October 11, 2012, 05:28:52 pm »It was quite enjoyable. I got to as many conventions as I can; the next one is Momocon in March; also in Downtown Atlanta. If any of you plan go there, shoot me a pm and we can meet up there if you'd like.
And here is a picture of that cosplay emergency; finally found one. ![]() 7

Forum Games / Three Word Story« on: October 10, 2012, 11:20:11 pm »Three-Word-Story. Here's how you play: you start a story using only three words and then everyone who replies after that continues the story, again only using three words. I'll begin. Let's see what insanity comes from this.

Etc. / Sebastian goes to AWA« on: October 01, 2012, 05:52:25 pm »Hey everyone. I said I'd post some images and stories from my most recent anime convention, Anime Weekend Atlanta in Atlanta, GA. As of right now, I'm still searching for pictures taken of me, so there aren't many here. But I'll edit this post and add on to it as I find more. To start, I'd like to say that this was the most enjoyable convention I've been to yet; mostly because it was my first time cosplaying at Sebastian Michaelis (No surprises there, right?). Almost as soon as I arrived on Friday, I found the most perfect Ciel who would become the only one I focused on over the course of the weekend. You can kinda see me next to Ciel in this image. lol ![]() He was almost always in-character, like myself; and impersonated Ciel perfectly. He even had a bit of voice acting skill to take on Ciel's voice; along with details like the way he walked, his stance, his expressions, and his temperament. Let's just say that cane didn't go unused when it came to a point that his Sebastian (myself) caused some irritation. He wouldn't stop poking me with it until I left the cat girls alone. I quite enjoyed myself. Over the weekend; I brought Ciel food and drink, I dressed him, I pulled up chairs for him to rest in (I rarely sat down all weekend, it just isn't proper for Sebastian to sit; so my feet are unbelievably sore from very little rest), I knelt at his feet, I even helped him out with math and chemistry homework. XD I obeyed commands just as one hell of a butler should. ![]() (My legs are a bit awkward in this picture; the photographer caught me just as I was getting up from a kneel. And the stairs were certainly no help at all. XD) I think what I admired most was Ciel's authoritative tone. During the Black Butler photo shoot; there was a point when photographers wanted only my Ciel for a photo. I rejoined the other observers while we brainstormed new poses. Ciel then goes up the stairs; and looks straight at me and says "Sebastian, I command you to stand by my side, and to remain there." We were outside, and yet every single person present went eerily silent. XD There were some "Ohhhh's" in a short while as well. I was rather surprised myself, but I took my place at his side as ordered. Threw in a nice bow and "Yes, my lord" as well. That moment of accurate in character was what made us a bit more well-known around the convention. ![]() My master's expression... Couldn't be more perfect. When my Ciel was cosplaying another character, I found myself "recruited" in a way to another Ciel; this one was wearing Ciel's pink ball dress early on in Season One of Black Butler. You can see it in the picture below; I'm standing just behind her and slightly to the right, the one with darker blue hair. ![]() Anyway, while I was following her around; there was a cosplay emergency which became a huge photo shoot. The two of us were the center of attention. The dress is made "poofy" by plastic rings which become larger toward the bottom of the dress. Sadly, one of those plastic rings found its way through the thin fabric; and a section was awkwardly sticking out of the dress. (The image above is after I fixed it up) So I, being the well-prepared butler that I am, got out needle and thread. Some buttons on my tailcoat were lose, so I kept sewing supplies with me in case of need. It came in useful there. I spent the next half hour kneeling on the floor (my knees still hurt), getting a temporary sewing job done. We were in the main lobby, so there were people/witnesses everywhere. I'm not sure exactly how many took photos; I was looking down at the dress the entire time, trying not to sew my gloves to the dress fabric. XD But Ciel said she lost count around 68; so a good number. Anyway, that mini-emergency turned out to be an amazing photo opportunity. I'm still trying to find some pictures of this; shouldn't be too long because there were so many photographs. Well, these are just the highlights of my con trip. As I said, I'll add more to this as I find corresponding visual aid. Originally, I was planning on switching between Sebastian and Edward cosplays; but I ended up being Sebastian all three days due to my amazing Ciel and my popularity. We were fairly well known by the end of Friday; and more people would be coming on Saturday and Sunday. So, in order to satisfy requests from those I'd like to call admirers; I was Sebastian all weekend. Ciel and I were constantly in roleplay mode; much to the enjoyment of the many people there. Yes, I did spend time admiring cat pictures and stuffed feline animals (I saw an awesome tiger one that I almost bought); only to be poked by Ciel's cane until I moved on. Anyway, I'm already excited for my next convention; Momocon; which is in March and located in downtown Atlanta, GA. ![]() |
